Biography

Daniel is a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Politics. His research focuses on agrarian political economy. In his dissertation, he examines the political ramifications of the expansion of agricultural frontiers in the Cerrado (savannah) and the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a M.A. in Public Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
