Biography

Alejandro is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Brown University and a researcher in the Realizing Rights Lab. His work investigates how structural factors—such as housing policy, natural disasters, and digital infrastructure—shape patterns of political participation and access to public resources. His current research agenda includes studies on the political consequences of housing insecurity following climate-related disasters, as well as how expanded internet access influences voter turnout and civic engagement. 

In addition to his doctoral training, Alejandro earned a Master’s degree in Data Science from Brown University in May 2025, equipping him with expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and computational methods for social science research. He also holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. Alejandro’s interdisciplinary work bridges public policy, data science, and political behavior, with a strong emphasis on equity and governance.
