Sarah is a first-year graduate student studying international relations. Currently, her research interests lie at the intersection of international institutions and climate action in urban areas, with the aim of studying whether voluntary international organizations can actually enable or incentivize greater urban climate action amongst members. Sarah received an Honours B.A. in political science and history from the University of Toronto and an MPP from Duke University’s Sanford School. Prior to starting the Ph.D. program at Brown, she worked in advisory consulting, helping communities across the U.S. plan to lower carbon emissions with an emphasis on just transition and climate justice outcomes.
